Thousands of bogus tickets. Yep, our old nemisis, ATS Red Light Cameras, the operation that almost got to set up in Bellingham, have some malfunctioning cameras in a community on Long Island in New York state. Imagine that. Why was our city council so sure this was a good deal that they voted for the cameras despite strong opposition from citizens? Well, you know, they just know so much more than we citizens. One of the first things new Mayor Kellie Linville did was make this go away - at a cost of $100,000 thanks to the bumbling of the City Council. Read and appreciate what confusion we narrowly avoided.
