Bottom line, you don’t elect the heir apparent - the chosen one - if you want change and reform. The world does not work that way. Eric Richey IS the problem. He has been #2 in the department for 10 years. He was chosen by McEachran as his successor. He is endorsed by those who like the present justice system in our county.

James Erb is highly qualified with solid experience in criminal and civil prosecutions. He has served in other jurisdictions and is not embedded in the corrupt good ol boy network of our Whatcom justice system. Erb is the outsider who has lived here for over 10 years - long enough to fully understand our situation. He is assistant attorney for the city of Bellingham, giving him a front row seat to the shenanigans we all want to change.

Richey has been parroting Erb during the campaign. He was told by his advisors to repeat whatever reforms Erb proposes. This to confuse us voters. It may work.

It is sooo very simple.

If you like the present system of justice (injustice really) in Whatcom County then vote Eric Richey.

If you want to change and reform our Whatcom County justice system then vote James Erb.
