Along a river in the center of West Virginia, a 100 car oil train derailed this noon.  The tracks wind along the river's edge, sort of the way our local RR tracks wind along Chuckanut Drive.  As of this afternoon, 14 cars are burning, one is in the river and one car smashed into a house and is burning.  Two nearby communities have been evacuated.  Reuters has a good report and Time has some good photos - and you can find more if you look. 

The danger to our area is very real.  The RR tracks do more twisting and turning along Chuckanut than anywhere else along the oil train route going to Cherry Point.
