A congratulations and thanks to Bellingham Mayor Kelli Linville for making the onerous red light cameras go away.  She quietly worked to find a solution to something she inherited from the previous mayor.  She put it into a reasonable contract and presented it to the city council for approval.  They voted 6 - 1 to approve. Done deal.

Just a nice imaginative solution.  We in Bellingham pay the ATS red light outfit in Arizona $100,000 and promise that if we do go for these cameras anytime in the next 5 years we will do business with them.  They get a compensation  and we move away from one of the more onerous legacies of the last four years of city government.
