Barry Buchanan is running for Mayor. The Bellingham City Council member, representing the center of the city's 3rd Ward, has filed his intentions with the State Public Disclosure Commission. The election is in November, 2011 - next year.

Barry has many years of local political and community involvement and is very well qualified to run for mayor. He and his wife Judy are well known throughout the city. Word has it that she is a strong supporter of his running for the Mayor's office. 

Current mayor, Dan Pike, filed with the PDC a week ago with his intention to run for a second term.
