I took a little heat from one of our new councilmembers, who took issue with yesterday's piece, "Continuing Parlor Tricks". Therein, I used a bad choice of words, suggesting final action might be immanent on a resolution regarding the UGA boundaries. Although it was a second reading and final action could have occurred, if I had been following the process more minutely, I would have been aware that this was meant only as a short meeting to add a couple "tweaks" to the document before final consideration. My apology to the Council and anyone else who may have gone apoplectic over the erroneous intimation.

However, my point was that the Council had a very irregular and complicated schedule, involving three different agendas and three different meetings, one of which was a "Special Session" and another a "Joint Session". That oughta be news, and there was nary a word in the Herald! That was my story - and I'm sticking to it!
