House Bill 2157 would require companies to test systems for bias, disclose risks and notify customers when AI significantly influences decisions affecting them.

WA House Democrats are moving forward with the above-mentioned bill to regulate artificial intelligence in high stakes decision-making.  It is mentioned that healthcare and insurance coverage decisions would be included with identified guardrails against frivolous decisions depriving patients of adequate care.  WE NEED THESE TOOLS to push back when the "WISeR" pilot begins to chip away at necessary medical care.
