Thank you for this excellent article. My family and I have decamped to Skagit Regional Hospital and Clinics and associated doctors because our recent experience at Peace Health ER was life-threatening. We have had nothing but good experiences at Skagit, which is a public hospital, governed and funded by a public hospital district. We must demand our county council awaken to the dangerous situation our population is confronting with the complete privatization of our health care.
