A personal note and link to more information for the many friends of Joan Casey. Her husband John Watts has written a substantial update about her serious health situation. They are in California and hope to get back to Bellingham, but her care is the challenge. You can read the update over on John's HamsterTalk blog site.  

If you do not know Joan and John, he was a long time Bellingham city council member and both were political junkies and attended many of Paul deArmond's camp fire evening to late night sessions where anything was discussed so long as it involved politics. This link is probably only of interest for those who know Joan.
