I happened to be at the HUB prior to the first planned naked bike ride when an officer from the BPD showed up with copies of the law and warned that anyone naked would be arrested. The ride went clothed. The next day, after Seattle’s ride went off splendidly, their police chief was interviewed and said, “What’s the big deal? I’m just glad they weren’t using pogo sticks.” Nice to see the Bellingham police taking a more tolerant approach.
