John Lesow, BS, JD, is Western Territory Manager for Cascade Canada Material Handling Products. In 1970, he joined Ralph Nader's Oregon Student Public Interest Research Group (OSPIRG) and served as an environmental lobbyist for the Oregon Environmental Council in the 1971 Oregon State Legislature.
Legislative credits include his advocacy of Oregon's "Bottle Bill" which placed a mandatory deposit on beverage containers and Oregon's "Bicycle Bill" , which allocated 1% of Oregon State Highway funds for bicycle paths along major thoroughfares.
He is a second term Whatcom County Planning Commissioner and lives in Point Roberts.
John is a recipient of the Washington Press Association's Communicator of Excellence Award for his articles on Urban Growth Areas and native gambling casinos."
